A changing media landscape offers astonishing opportunities, making innovation essential. From a journalistic standpoint that innovation is not only happening within our building through collaborations with Desert Companion, but also beyond our borders with public radio stations like KQED in San Francisco. Technical innovation presents a different challenge. Our studio facilities date back to 1998, the year Nokia introduced the 8110 – the most advanced phone of the time. Like our studios, the 8110 is still useable today but both have been rendered obsolete. Our systems are a Nokia 8110 in an iPhone X world. An investment strategy and your financial support will take us into the next decade, innovation that will continue to position Nevada Public Radio as the trusted source of news and cultural content.
